How to add a new import?

Where to start?

  1. To add a new import, enter the Data imports area and then ADD IMPORT.

2. Choose how you want to upload the import file. The following options are available:

  • Static file: (csv/txt, Json, xml/rss).

  • File by URL: csv/txt / json / xml/rss (the only one to send product feed).

  • Google Sheet: Uploading import as Google Sheet.

  • Big Query Table: Submit import as BigQuery Table.

Static file (csv/txt, Json, xml/rss)

  1. To send the import in this way, complete the following fields:

  • Name: Give the uploaded import a name

  • Character Encoding: Leave this field unchanged (UTF-8)

  • Choose a file: Attach the import file from your device.

  • Security: Leave as is or select Basic auth (user&password) if the uploaded file is secured with authorization. Next, enter the username with access to the file and the security password.

2. Click Import file.

After selecting to send the import/product feed as a URL file, a sidebar will appear on the right.

  1. To submit an import in this way, complete the following fields:

  • Name: Give the uploaded import/product feed a name along with the Country Code (e.g. main feed - PL).

  • Character Encoding: Leave this field unchanged (UTF-8).

  • Import Url: Provide the entire URL of the uploaded product file.

  • Data Update Schedule: Determine how often you want the product feed in the application to be refreshed and updated. Take into account how often changes occur







    in the uploaded product feed file and with what frequency it is refreshed.

  • Import Schedule: …

  • Security: Leave it unchanged or select Basic auth (user&password) if the product feed being sent is secured with authorization. Next, enter the username with access to the feed/file and the security password

2. Click Import file.


Google Sheet: Uploading import as Google Sheet.

After selecting to upload the import as Google Sheet, a sidebar will appear on the right.

  1. To submit an import in this way, complete the following fields:

  • Name: Give the uploaded import a name along with the Country Code (e.g. main feed - PL).

  • Google Sheet URL: Enter the URL of the sheet that contains the product feed.

  • Importantly, to add import in this way, you must follow the displayed message, i.e. assign an account c-mu4cwbck8uig379drcry0q@prod-feedoctopus.iam.gserviceaccount.com Viewer access to Google Sheet with import.

  • Header rows to skip: Select how many header rows to skip when uploading the spreadsheet.

  • Character Encoding: Leave this field unchanged (UTF-8).

  • Import Schedule:....

  • Security: Leave unchanged or select Basic auth (user&password) if the import being sent is secured with authorization. Next, provide a username with access to the import and a security password.

    2. Click Import file.


Big Query Table: Submit import as BigQuery Table.

After selecting this form of import transfer, a sidebar will appear on the right.

  1. To submit an import in this way, complete the following fields:

  • Name: Give the uploaded import a name along with the Country Code (e.g. main feed - PL).

  • Project: ….

  • Importantly, to add a file in this way, you must follow the displayed message, i.e. assign an account c-mu4cwbck8uig379drcry0q@prod-feedoctopus.iam.gserviceaccount.com Viewer access to a table in BigQuery with import.

  • Dataset: Provide the name of the dataset where the data table is located.

  • Table: Provide the name of the table that contains the data.

  • Import Schedule: ….

  • Security: Leave unchanged or select Basic auth (user&password) if the import is secured with authorization. Next, enter the username with access to the feed and the security password.

    2. Click Import file.
