Product Feed:

A product feed is an organized data file containing information about the products offered by a company. These feeds are typically in XML, CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets format and include key details about each product, such as name, description, price, availability, categories, SKU IDs, image links, and product page URLs. Product feeds are used to send this information to various platforms, such as price comparison websites, advertising systems, online stores, and other marketing tools, allowing for automatic updating and synchronization of product data.

Mapping:

Mapping is the process of assigning data from one format or structure to another, according to defined rules and schemas. In the context of product feeds, mapping involves assigning fields from the source file (feed) to corresponding fields in the target system, such as an advertising platform, price comparison website, or remarketing system. The goal of mapping is to ensure that the data is correctly processed and interpreted by the target system, enabling accurate display and management of product information. Mapping can involve various operations, such as data format changes, value transformations, data filtering, or combining information from multiple sources.

Import:

The process of loading data into a system from various sources, such as CSV, XML, JSON, Google Sheets, BigQuery files.
